Mary Lou and Snooky Williams judged the costumes.

Last Saturday night the Water Valley Arts Council’s “Come As You Aren’t” Costume Party and Dance raised over $1,000 to support our Summer Art Camp for Kids.

Our success is the result of efforts of lots of dedicated volunteers and business owners. Our greatest thanks, however, go to Annette Trefzer and Mickey Howley for their support of this event and for the use of their beautiful Bozarts Gallery. We couldn’t have succeeded without them.

Extra-special thanks also go to Bobby Murphree, our DJ for the evening; Katrina Geenen, our hospitality steward; “Doctor” Micah Mitchell of Blue Roots Marketing for the great photographic support during the night; and to our costume contest judges, Snooky and Mary Lou Williams and Jim and Kathleen Sullivan.

We are also very grateful to the following folks for their donations of prizes for the evening: Julia Ray, Deirdre Uncapher, Libby Kutcha, Deirdre Favreau, Pati D’Amico, Bill Warren, Waurene Roberson, Jayne Clark, Terry Rockette, Johnny Fondren, Anissa Wilkinson, Micah Mitchell, Mari Foster, and Rounder’s Pizza.

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday night…it was a wonderful evening!
